The Porsche Cayman R - Manual - was introduced for model year 2012 (late 2011 in Europe) along with its automatic (PDK) sibling. It features the Porsche OEM aero kit that was first introduced in 2007 as a factory option, 19 inch lightweight wheels shared with the Boxster Spyder, lighter aluminum doors from the 997 911 GT3, and optional lighter fiberglass bucket seats with carbon fiber backing from the 997 911 GT2. With the removal of the radio, storage compartments, air-conditioning, and door handles, the Cayman R weighs in at 54.8 kg (121 lb) less than a 987 Cayman S. The powertrain was a 3.4 L direct injection flat-six engine that was rated at 326 hp. Only 1,621 where made with both transmission options

RISO Motorworks is proud to offer this clean example of a 2012 Porsche Cayman R. This was owned by us as a private vehicle and will be sold as a private sale. The car has been well maintained as well as cosmetically restored after a deer accident. The Carfax is clean as the damages were aesthetic and allowed for the car to be re-sprayed and put back to almost like-new condition. Work was completed at Berli’s Body Shop in Pflugerville, TX and records of aesthetic and maintenance work will be included.
The Cayman R is the tribute and perfect example of what the 987.2 should be. The 50/50 weight distribution, responsive handling, and blissful noise at 4,000 rpms will leave you with a smile from starting the engine to parking it back at home after a nice cruise through hill country.
